Terrywhite Chemmart Clontarf is seeking a dedicated and organised Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time basis at our Clontarf location. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services to our community. Working under the supervision of qualified pharmacists, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy, ensuring that medications are dispensed safely and accurately whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards. This position is essential to the smooth functioning of our pharmacy and directly impacts patient safety and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

- Accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions and under the direction of the supervising pharmacist
- Manage inventory and stock control systems, including ordering medications and pharmaceutical products
- Prepare and label medications, ensuring all information is clear and accurate
- Maintain detailed records of pharmaceutical transactions and patient information in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist pharmacists with compounding medicines and preparing specialised pharmaceutical preparations
- Process prescriptions using pharmacy management systems and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, answering queries about over-the-counter products and general health advice (within scope)
- Conduct stocktakes and manage pharmaceutical waste in accordance with legal and safety requirements
- Support the pharmacist in quality assurance checks and verification processes
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised pharmacy environment

What we’re looking for

- Qualification as a Pharmacy Technician or equivalent accreditation recognised in Australia
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medications
- Knowledge of pharmacy practice,



pharmaceutical products and therapeutic classifications
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with pharmacists, colleagues and customers
- A commitment to patient safety and confidentiality in accordance with privacy legislation
- Reliability, professionalism and a genuine passion for pharmacy practice
- Experience working in a busy retail or hospital pharmacy environment (preferred)
- Willingness to undertake continuing career development
