About Cerberus Health Centre

Cerberus Health Centre is located at HMAS Cerberus in Westernport (adjacent to Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula). This Naval base has approximately 4,000 members and is the primary training establishment for young recruits (about 6,000 personnel trained annually), averaging 800 trainees onboard at any one time. The health centre provides primary medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. It contains a 30 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7.



The standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on‑call shifts). The facility is also responsible for the provision of after‑hours services to ADF personnel on the Mornington Peninsula.

What you’ll do

- Provide a range of evidence-based physiotherapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitative services
- Work with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries with a focus on functional rehabilitation and returning members to their work and exercise goals.
- Coordinate patient administration, records, and clinic operations
- Support multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Ensure compliance with Defence policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards

What you bring

- At least 2 years’ part-time or full-time equivalent post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years
- A current, unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
- Recent engagement in Continuing Career development activities aligned with AHPRA guidelines
- A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009)
- Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (preferred)
- Australian Citizenship required for Baseline Security Clearance
