What you'll be doing

As a Parks and Gardens Officer, you will:

- Maintain high-qualityhorticultural assets through professional park and garden maintenancepractices.
- Operate and maintainmowing equipment and light mechanical plant safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to thepresentation and upkeep of Council's parks, reserves, roadsides, andpublic spaces.
- Support a safe workplaceby identifying hazards, following OH&S; procedures, and maintainingaccurate records.
- Work collaborativelywith a dedicated team delivering essential services to the community.

What we're looking for





We're seeking someone who:

- Demonstrates acommitment to teamwork, safety, and customer service.
- Holds a current MediumRigid (MR) Driver's Licence and can safely operate vehicles up to 13.9tonnes GCM.
- Has experience operatingOut Front Mowers and a range of horticultural equipment including brushcutters, blowers, edgers, and hand mowers.
- Has previous experienceworking effectively within a team environment.
- Brings a positiveattitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Experience operatinghedge trimmers, chainsaws, post hole diggers, and other horticulturalmachinery will be highly regarded.

Pre-employmentrequirements:

- CurrentMedium Rigid driver's licence.
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Functional Capacity Assessment

- Salary of $72,697.90 per annum plussuper.
- A permanent full-time positionwith a fortnightly RDO.
- Working Monday to Friday from 7.00am to3.56pm (during daylight Savings 6.30am to 3.26pm).
- 26 weeks of paid parental leave -primary carer/4 weeks of paid parental leave – partner.
