Our client, a well-established and growing recycling and resource recovery business based in West Melbourne , is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join their busy facility. This prospect offers an immediate start on Day Shift, with potential for ongoing, long-term employment.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position operating excavators within a fast-paced recycling yard. You will play a key role in sorting, loading, and processing recyclable materials while supporting safe and efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate excavators (including grab and magnet attachments)
- Sort, move, and load materials such as concrete, metals, and green waste
- Feed fixed and mobile plant equipment (crushers, shredders, etc.)




- Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Work closely with site supervisors and team members

About You

- Demonstrated experience operating excavators in recycling, waste, quarry, or construction environments
- Relevant plant operator tickets/licences
- Strong commitment to safety and site procedures
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required
