About the role:
Provide high-level policy and strategic advice
to senior executives and key stakeholders.
Oversee complex research, policy development and the preparation of submissions on significant reform issues.




Manage key policy projects and contribute to the strategic direction of the department.
Build and maintain robust relationships with practitioners, government bodies and other external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate:
An experienced lawyer with a
strong background in commercial law & policy
Demonstrated
people management experience
is essential, with the ability to lead, mentor and develop a team of lawyers.
Solid legal research, analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to advise on complex legal and policy matters.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive and collaborative leader who can manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
