Building 385- University of Melbourne Health Service – Carlton VIC

We are seeking an experienced GP Practice Nurse on a casual basis, to join our established team for 3-6 months.

About you

AHPRA Div 1 Registered Nurse registration with unrestricted work rights and Monday-Friday availability

Experience as a practice nurse and qualified nurse immuniser in an Australian General Practice setting

Experience with Best Practice clinical software

Sound clinical judgement in the provision of nursing duties and within your scope of practice

Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively and independently, as part of a small team

Excellent presentation skills, a positive attitude and professional communication skills

Working with children check, CPR certification and qualified indemnity insurance

Key responsibilities





Provide appropriate clinical care including triage, ECGs, injections and medication administration, suture removal, wound care, travel advice, health education, contraceptive advice and clinical documentation

Engage in care coordination and planning of referred patients under the supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and the doctors

Support the Nurse Unit Manager and colleagues to manage and maintain medical supplies including stock control, appropriate billing of vaccines, medications and travel medicine accessories, management and monitoring of cold chain and infection control and health education materials
