Accounts - Customer Service Representative

Melbourne Pathology is one of Victoria’s largest diagnostic pathology laboratories, committed to providing high quality healthcare throughout metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate.

A vacancy exists for a full-time employee in our Accounts Receivable department, working 76 hours per fortnight. The position will require the incumbent to work 5 days per week, between the hours or 8am – 5pm.

Duties will include:

- - Answering a high volume of calls
- - Assisting patients with their Medical Account enquiries
- - Processing various payment types accurately
- - Checking data discrepancies with Medicare; DVA; WorkCover; Private Health Funds
- - Investigation and follow up outstanding aged accounts
- - Strong attention to detail





The successful applicant must have excellent attention to detail, a high level of customer service as well as professional telephone manner, communication skills, show positive initiative, be enthusiastic to learn, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Confidentiality is extremely important in this role.

Previous experience in the health care industry or knowledge of the Medicare Rebate system would be highly advantageous.
