Access Covers Australia Pty Ltd is currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join our team immediately in Tullamarine. The shift runs from 6am to 2pm, with overtime prospects available.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you should have:
n
n
Proven experience in the manufacture of steel reinforcement cages.
n
Experience in bar processing and welding is favourable.
n
Proficiency in using power tools and machinery safely and effectively.
n
Ability to work well as part of a team.
n
Solid commitment to safety at all times.
n
Excellent attention to detail.
n
A driven and motivated work ethic.
n
A valid forklift licence, overhead crane experience or dogman/rigger tickets will be highly regarded (but no mandatory)

The Role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Cutting, bending, and tying reinforcing steel (reo) as per design drawings.
n
Working closely with our formworkers and concreters
n
Demonstrating flexibility in working hours and days as required.
n
Inspecting the final fit-off before concrete pours to ensure quality and accuracy.
n
