The OHS & Wellbeing Advisor plays a critical role in the triage and management of Doutta Galla's incident management system. Reporting to the Risk, OHS & Wellbeing Manager, this role is responsible for supporting effective injury management through early intervention principles, coordinating return to work processes, and managing workers' compensation administration.

This is a permanent part-time position working three days per week initially based in Footscray (not too far from Docklands), with an imminent move to a brand new and renovated office in trendy West Melbourne (within easy walking distance of North Melbourne train station).

About the Role

As the OHS and Wellbeing Advisor, you will:

- Deliver effective early intervention injury management principles to achieve best practice outcomes
- Support managers in the injury management process
- Manage the end-to-end workers compensation process, including working with nominated workers compensation agents
- Provide appropriate health, safety and wellbeing advice and recommendations to managers and staff
- Maintain and administer the incident management system




- Support managers with risk management activities and incident investigations
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits
- Assist with the implementation and delivery of strategic programs, including health and wellbeing initiatives
- Assist (as required) with the review and maintenance of Doutta Galla’s OHS management system, policies and procedures
- Coordinate and participate in health and safety committee meetings as required, and provide necessary administration support

You have a genuine passion for workplace safety, wellbeing and supporting employees to achieve safe and sustainable return to work outcomes. You possess great communication and relationship building skills, have a keen eye for detail and are a proactive and collaborative advisor who brings:

Essential Qualifications:

- Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety

Skills & Experience in:

- A similar role, preferably in aged care, health or disability services in the NFP sector.
- Return to Work (RTW) management, RTW injury management process, and the rights and obligations of injured workers.
- Provision of injury prevention, early intervention and injury management procedures
- Workers' compensation claims management and administration.
- Risk management and incident investigation




- Conducting safety audits and inspections
- Effective skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
- Effective written and verbal communication
