About the Role
As a Food and Beverage Guest Experience Officer you will be responsible for providing warm, effective, and personalised service for guests across Park Hyatt Melbourne's Food and Beverage Division. You will support daily restaurant operations, recognise guest preferences, and help the team deliver consistent service in line with Hyatt standards.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- To greet and assist guests, support arrivals and departures,
explain the hotel's Food and Beverage offerings and create a welcoming experience during busy service periods and events.
- Touse Opera and TableCheck to review relevant guest information and help deliver appropriate recognition for regular, VIP, high-care, and long-stay guests.
- To review arrival lists and restaurant reservations, prepare daily guest information as directed, maintain accurate log books, and share relevant updates with the team.
- To listen to guest comments, handle requests and complaints courteously, report recurring issues to the supervisor, and help follow through on agreed solutions.
- To deliver service in line with Hyatt brand standards, departmental procedures, food safety requirements, privacy expectations, and PCI requirements.
- To assist with service briefings, share information with colleagues, and provide day-to-day guidance or training to less experienced associates when directed.
- To make suitable recommendations, promote Park Hyatt Melbourne facilities where appropriate, and use approved systems and equipment accurately.
What you will bring to the role:
- Previous food and beverage experience in a Hotel or a similar fast-paced environment
- A current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Good knowledge of Food and Beverage products, or the willingness to learn the hotel's menus, facilities, and services.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to problem solve and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to Hyatt's service standards, workplace safety, personal presentation, and respectful treatment of guests and colleagues.
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
