Where you'll be working

The successful applicant will work full time within the Transitional Aged Care Program – Greater Newcastle, which is based at Wallsend Health Campus. They will be working within a large, allied health and nursing teams with clients over the age of 65 who are living at home and are undertaking the 12-week rehabilitation and transitional program. We are a friendly, cohesive team and all work together to achieve the goals of the client.

The Prospect

The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) role is a dynamic position which has a mix of direct client care and administration. You will work with a team of Allied Health Assistant's and the workload is shared. You will actively participate in a client’s rehab program and your contributions are valued. Line management of the AHA is by the Allied Health Service Manager for TACP. Orientation and training will be a hybrid model between line manager and members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will be linked in with the District AHA networking group.
