We are seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager to join our Sydney-based Group Finance team and play a key leadership role in statutory reporting, tax, treasury, financial controls and finance business partnering across manufacturing and operations.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Group Finance, the Group Finance Manager will lead the Group’s ASX statutory reporting requirements, oversee Group Tax, manage treasury activities and provide finance business partnering to the Manufacturing and Operations Leadership Team. This role is responsible for maintaining the robustness of the Group’s balance sheet, coordinating audit activities and ensuring robust financial governance, systems, processes and controls across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, half-year and full-year statutory reporting, including ASX reporting obligations.
- Oversee consolidation of Group results, intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations and audit preparation.
- Manage Group Tax compliance, governance, provisions, lodgements and communications with tax advisors and revenue authorities.
- Provide financial leadership and business partnering to Manufacturing and Operations, including inventory valuation, standard costing and variance analysis.
- Oversee treasury activities, including cash and liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships and treasury policy compliance.
- Support internal audit activities, optimise ERP use and champion process,
systems and controls improvements.
- Lead, coach and mentor members of the finance team while building trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You are a commercially astute finance leader with strong technical accounting capability, sound judgement and the ability to influence across a complex, multinational environment. You bring a hands‑on approach, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
What you will bring
- CA or CPA qualification with tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years’ accounting experience, including statutory reporting and tax; Big 4 experience is advantageous.
- Experience closing consolidated books in a complex multinational organisation, ideally ASX‑listed.
- Strong technical knowledge of current accounting standards, audit methodologies and financial controls.
- Treasury experience within a global organisation.
- Advanced Microsoft Exfcel and PowerPoint skills, with strong ERP systems capability; Microsoft D365 experience is advantageous.
- Manufacturing, life sciences or medical device industry experience would be highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
