Black Swan Logistics is seeking a reliable and professional Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This is an essential role within our Road Transport operations, delivering high-quality customer service whilst safely transporting furniture and household items to clients across the metro Melbourne areas. As a Furniture Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that every delivery experience exceeds customer expectations. This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis, making it ideal for those seeking variable hours.

Key responsibilities

- Safely operate delivery vehicles and transport furniture items to customer locations in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures
- Load, unload and position furniture with care, ensuring items arrive in perfect condition and are placed according to customer specifications
- Maintain qualified communication with customers, providing updates on delivery times and addressing any concerns or special requirements
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or damage promptly to management
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise fuel consumption
- Complete delivery documentation accurately and obtain customer signatures to confirm successful delivery
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times, reflecting the professional standards of Black Swan Logistics
- Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations and company policies whilst operating vehicles

What we're looking for

- Current, valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in furniture delivery, courier work or similar customer-facing transport roles
- Strong physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items safely (up to 50kg regularly)




- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous manner
- Reliable time management and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Solid knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for vehicle operation
- Ability to navigate effectively using GPS systems and route planning tools
- Flexible approach to working casual hours and willingness to adapt to varying workloads
- First Aid Certificate and/or forklift certification would be advantageous
