The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Estimating Specialist to join our Assets & Autonomy Group. In this Brisbane-based opportunity, you will play a critical role in developing and reviewing plant rates, maintenance cost estimates, asset strategies and tender submissions that support business growth and operational excellence.

Reporting within the Asset Estimating team, you will:

- Develop and review plant rates and maintenance cost estimates for tenders
- Analyse project costs and support monthly performance reviews and benchmarking
- Complete asset lifecycle and ownership cost reviews to optimise fleet performance
- Support asset selection decisions for new and existing projects
- Provide asset estimating inputs for major tenders, including labour, capital expenditure, mobilisation and cashflow requirements
- Review project asset financial results and assist operations with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Asset teams, OEMs and suppliers to identify cost‑saving and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, systems and processes
- Coach and support Asset Specialists, Graduates and stakeholders across the business.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Trade qualification or tertiary degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience in operational, maintenance, asset management or estimating environments




- Robust commercial and analytical capability with an understanding of asset lifecycle costing
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with VBA/Macro experience advantageous
- Ability to interpret operational and financial data to support business decision‑making
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work across multiple business functions
- A proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
