Lead Technology Operations and Fraud Prevention in a Growing Regional Bank

Darling Downs Bank is seeking an IT Operations & Financial Crimes Manager to join our leadership team.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Bank's technology environment and Financial Crimes Prevention Program. You will lead critical functions including IT service management, information security, business continuity, vendor management, incident management and fraud prevention.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for:

- Leading the operational management of the Bank's IT environment
- Managing incidents, service availability and operational performance
- Overseeing business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
- Driving information security initiatives and response activities
- Managing key technology vendors and service providers
- Leading change, release and asset management activities
- Overseeing the Bank's Financial Crimes Prevention Program
- Monitoring fraud risks, controls and detection capabilities
- Providing fraud and security reporting to management and governance committees
- Building fraud awareness across the organisation
- Supporting strategic technology and risk initiatives

Our Head Office is located in Warwick, Queensland, with seven branches across the Darling Downs with back-office facilities. We welcome applications from candidates located throughout South East Queensland and surrounding regions. While the role offers flexibility in work location,



regular travel to and attendance at our Warwick Head Office will be required. Specific arrangements will be discussed with the successful applicant.

About You

You may be an experienced leader, analyst, or IT professional looking to take the next step into management.

To be successful, you'll bring:

Essential

- Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Financial Crime management, or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of IT operations, infrastructure and service delivery
- Excellent stakeholder, communication and relationship management skills
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities in a regulated environment

Highly Regarded

- Leadership or people management experience
- Experience within banking, financial services or another regulated industry
- Knowledge of information security, business continuity or technology risk management
- Exposure to fraud, financial crimes, scams prevention or operational risk programs
- Experience managing third-party technology providers
