Deputy Director Facilities and Operational Services

As the Deputy Director, Facilities & Operational Services, you will provide the strategic and operational leadership required to ensure the safety, compliance, and excellence of UNE's physical environment. This executive role is responsible for the high-level management of our Campus and Trades Services, overseeing the critical maintenance and improvements that keep our teaching, research, and residential spaces functioning at their best. Beyond daily operations, you will hold strategic accountability for Environmental Sustainability—driving our climate-related financial disclosure (CRFD) obligations—and our Emergency Management frameworks.

Operating in a cooperative partnership with the Deputy Director, Estate Planning & Capital Delivery, you will deliver a unified service to the University community, ensuring that operational intelligence and asset condition data directly inform our future capital investments under the Strategic Plan 2026–2035.

Key responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure safety, compliance, and excellence of UNE's physical environment

Manage Campus and Trades Services, overseeing critical maintenance and improvements

Hold strategic accountability for Environmental Sustainability and climate-related financial disclosure (CRFD) obligations

Oversee Emergency Management frameworks

Collaborate with the Deputy Director, Estate Planning & Capital Delivery to deliver unified service to the University community





Ensure operational intelligence and asset condition data inform future capital investments
