The Role

You’ll help design, build and evolve the technology behind Alii,



while playing a senior role in how our engineering practices develop.

A key part of this role will be helping us move further into AI-enabled and agentic software development. We want someone who working our senior engineering teamcan help set up, test and iterate on agentic development workflows, work out what actually improves engineering productivity and quality, and help spearhead adoption across the engineering team.

- Develop and maintain C# and .NET Core domain services and APIs

- Build new user interfaces using React and our Micro SPA architecture

- Work across our existing MVC application and modern microservice architecture

- Design and build REST APIs and event-driven services

- Write comprehensive unit, integration and API tests

- Contribute to CI/CD, engineering automation and developer tooling

- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design and peer reviews

- Champion practical and responsible AI-enabled software engineering across the team

- DevelopAI tools, agentic workflows and automation approaches

- Turn successful experiments into repeatable team practices

- Help increase engineering speed without compromising quality, security or maintainability

Who We’re Looking For

You’re an experienced engineer who communicates clearly, thinks beyond the immediate ticket and enjoys solving complex problems with other smart people.

You’re equally comfortable improving an established application, contributing to modern services and exploring better ways for the team to build software.

- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience

- Strong C# and .NET Core experience

- Strong understanding of REST API design





- Strong SQL and Entity Framework experience

- Experience working with microservice architectures

- Experience with React and modern front-end development

- Experience with event-driven architecture and message queues, ideally Azure Service Bus and MassTransit

- Good understanding of Git, CI/CD and automated testing

- Comfortable working across both legacy and modern architectures

- Strong understanding of software architecture and good engineering practices

- A clear communicator who works well in a collaborative engineering team

- Interested in moving beyond basic code completion into agentic development workflows and engineering automation

Bonus Points

- Experience building or implementing agentic coding workflows, AI engineering harnesses or automated development pipelines

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Pulumi, Terraform or Bicep
