Personal Lines Underwriter - High Net Worth

As a senior high-net-worth underwriter on our Personal Lines Property products you'll be working with one of the most technically proficient teams in the market. We're running a cutting-edge tech environment allowing us to ditch the admin and focus on the underwriting! We're backed by Lloyds and have experienced great growth since launch, with brokers giving us a 94% customer satisfaction score.

This senior underwriter role will engage with brokers via networking, training and industry events, and generally fulfilling our objective to be our brokers friendly expert in the high-net-worth market.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated high-energy person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bring your experience in similar roles to evaluate and underwrite complex household and specialty risks for affluent clients.

Responsibilities:

- Apply technical expertise and market knowledge to evaluate personal lines exposure, focusing on high-value dwellings, scheduled personal property and liability coverage
- Help develop the overall portfolio management & strategy including maintenance of underwriting guidelines, manuals, and policy wordings and coverage
- Technically review and underwrite personal lines property risks in accordance with Hutch risk appetite, underwriting guidelines and statutory legislations
- Grow the portfolio through market engagement, relationship building and strategic initiatives
- Develop and execute process automation with our tech team




- Assist the Head of Property with ad hoc analysis
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced underwriting staff regarding high-net-worth products and relevant exposures
- Provide insights on the market, service & underwriting improvements
- Assist the team with completing requests for documents from our broker partners
- Deliver our customer experience promise to our brokers
