The ItsMy Group is a Melbourne-based private health insurance distribution business. We work with leading health funds and a growing broker network to help Australians find the right cover. Our finance team sits at the centre of the business, supporting sales, broker partners, technology and compliance.

About the role

This is a hands-on senior role for someone who likes owning the numbers. You'll run the month-end close, manage the accuracy of our fund RCTI process, and be the go-to contact for broker and fund queries. You'll also lead our Operational Accountant, reviewing their work and helping them grow.

Key responsibilities

- Own month-end close (Prepare and review) – Journals and BS Reconciliations
- Prepare the monthly P&L; and balance sheet
- Manage fund RCTI processing and broker commission payments
- Act as the main contact for broker and fund queries
- Review AP/AR, payroll and bank reconciliation work before sign-off
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Support Sales, Technology and Compliance with their reporting needs




- Coordinate the year-end pack for external accountants and auditors
- Handle ad hoc analysis for the GM Finance and Senior Finance Business Partner
- Manage and develop the Operational Accountant

What we're looking for

- 4+ years in a senior accounting role in a commercial business
- Proven experience running month-end close and preparing management accounts
- Experience reviewing or supervising a junior team member
- Advanced Excel skills
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards it (desirable)
- Accurate, organised and able to hit deadlines without close supervision
- Able to explain results clearly to non-finance managers
- Real ownership of a core finance function
- Hybrid working with a supportive, close-knit team
- Broad exposure across funds, brokers and the wider business
- A growing business investing in its systems and people
