Salesforce Development Lead | EL1 | Federal Government

12-month contract | ACT, Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Development Lead to join a large federal government ICT program on an initial 12-month contract.

This is a technical leadership role suited to a senior Salesforce developer who can provide hands‑on technical guidance while leading development activities across a complex enterprise setting.

You will lead the design, development and implementation of Salesforce solutions, providing technical direction to development teams and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with architecture and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing technical leadership across Salesforce development activities
- Designing and developing Salesforce Vlocity solutions using OmniStudio, OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures and DataRaptors
- Working with Apex, Lightning Components and Salesforce APIs
- Developing and supporting integrations including REST APIs and Platform Events
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring development standards and governance are maintained
- Supporting deployments across development, test and production environments
- Contributing to CI/CD, DevOps and test automation practices
- Working closely with solution architects, developers,



UI/UX and accessibility specialists
- Supporting Agile delivery and participating in Scrum activities
- Building team capability through mentoring, collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and practices

Essential experience includes:

- Strong experience with OOP, frameworks, design patterns and integrations
- Advanced Salesforce experience across Apex, Lightning Components and Salesforce APIs
- Strong Salesforce Vlocity / OmniStudio experience
- Experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud and/or Health Cloud
- Experience with source control and package-based developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience building team capability and improving development practices

Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, OmniStudio Developer/Consultant or Salesforce Architect are highly desirable.

Experience with GitLab, Jira, VS Code, DevOps practices and delivery of multiple Salesforce CRM implementations in Agile environments will also be highly regarded.
