Assistant Principal – Pastoral Care and Wellbeing
The College is seeking applications from qualified teachers registered with the Queensland College of Teachers for this permanent position commencing January .
The Assistant Principal – Pastoral Care and Wellbeing has a major responsibility to:
Provide leadership in the innovation, development, implementation and evaluation of the pastoral and wellbeing programs from Years 7 – 12.
Ensure that the College's program of personal development and pastoral care for its students, its practices of social justice, behaviour management and respect for others, its development of students' character, service and faith assist staff and students to recognise, explore and live out the Catholic and MSC Ethos of the College.
Ensure that the College's services for its students are supported by all members of the Downlands community.
The Assistant Principal – Pastoral Care and Wellbeing will:
Develop the MSC Vision of the College as it applies in the area of pastoral care and student wellbeing.
Nurture a College culture characterised by life-giving relationships, gentleness, humility and affirmation.




Ensure the smooth and effective administration and organisation of the College Pastoral Care and Wellbeing program.
Be conversant with the requirements of authorised State and National educational bodies.
Provide quality information to parents and carers with respect to student outcomes through a variety of media.
Oversee College Pastoral Care and Wellbeing teams
