Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – Aged Care

Medstar Nursing Care is seeking compassionate, experienced and dependable Personal Care Assistants to support residential aged care facilities in Bankstown and North Nowra, NSW.
n
We offer adaptable casual shifts, including morning, afternoon, night and weekend work. Applicants may nominate their preferred location and availability.
n
About the role
n
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide respectful, person-centred support that promotes each resident's dignity, comfort, safety and independence.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Assisting residents with personal care, showering, dressing and grooming
n
Supporting mobility, transfers and safe manual handling
n
Assisting with meals, hydration and daily activities
n
Following individual care plans and facility procedures
n
Observing and reporting changes in residents' health or behaviour
n
Completing accurate care documentation
n
Providing companionship and emotional support
n
Working closely with nurses and other care team members
n




Following infection-control and workplace safety requirements
n
n
Essential requirements
n
n
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Certificate III in Aged Care, or an equivalent qualification
n
Recent residential aged care experience
n
Current National Police Check
n
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
n
Current Manual Handling certificate
n
Evidence of required vaccinations
n
Valid Australian working rights
n
Robust communication and documentation skills
n
Availability to work a range of shifts
n
