We are looking for an energetic and personable Finance Officer to join our Sydney team.

We are a collaborative, award-winning Architecture and Interior Design practice located in the historic Jones Bay Wharf building, overlooking Sydney Harbour. This is a hands‐on role with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the practice's finance function.

The Role
n
This is a diverse role within a creative studio environment, working closely with the Directors and wider team. The successful candidate will take ownership of the practice's financial operations, with responsibilities including:

Accounts Payable & Receivable
n
Project billing, invoicing and debt collection
n
Payroll management
n
Bank reconciliations
n
Month-end processes and financial reporting
n
BAS and tax compliance
n
Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management
n
Project financial tracking and cost rates
n
Financial recordkeeping and controls
n
Ad-hoc financial and administrative support
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n




5+ years' experience in finance, accounting or a similar role
n
Experience managing payroll, preferably using Xero
n
Experience with BAS, month-end processes and financial reporting
n
Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting
n
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
Initiative and a proactive, can-do approach
n
Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
n
Personable and confident working with a range of stakeholders
n
