The Health, Safety & Quality Officer supports the HSEQ Manager in maintaining and enhancing M. Tucker & Sons Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System. This is a wide-ranging role combining office-based administration with regular field work across operational sites and project locations, ensuring the business remains compliant with legislative requirements and internal management systems while driving a positive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

Conduct workplace inspections and site safety audits across multiple work sites
n
Complete field observations and verify compliance with company procedures
n
Assist with maintaining the company's Integrated Management System
n
Undertake quality assurance inspections and compliance audits
n
Assist with risk assessments, SWMS reviews and hazard management
n
Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed
n
Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
n
Process HSEQ documentation, reports and compliance records
n
Assist with maintaining training, licensing and competency records
n




Prepare audit reports and assist with continuous improvement initiatives
n

About you
n
n
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or willingness to obtain)
n
Previous experience in a Health & Safety, HSEQ or Compliance role
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Robust organisational skills with attention to detail
n
Confidence working independently across multiple locations
n
Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
n
Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels
n
Current Victorian Driver's Licence
n
Experience within the civil construction, waste management, infrastructure or environmental services industries (desirable)
n
n
Full-time position on a 12 month contract. This is a new role and there is potential to extend to a permanent role.
