An prospect exists for a qualified Diesel Mechanic who has experience in the service, maintenance and repair of heavy mining / earthmoving equipment to join our team at Broken Hill.
The successful candidate will work both in the Broken Hill workshop and in field service; with a disciplined approach and the capability to work autonomously they will deliver high quality work to ensure customer service expectations are achieved.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Servicing and repairs to a range of above mining equipment including earthmoving & on highway trucks;
Component change-outs and repairs;




Fault diagnosis and trouble shooting of mechanical and electronic engine systems;
Major engine / equipment overhauls;
Report writing on fault findings including current warranty claims;
Specification interpretation;
Participation in daily Contamination Control and Safety processes.
Skills and Experience Required:
Relevant Trade Qualification;
Current Driver's Licence;
Previous experience with heavy mining and earthmoving equipment;
Excellent mechanical servicing and diagnostic skills;
Auto Electrical and Hydraulic experience;
Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
Dedicated to safety, contamination control and quality standards;
Ability to attend breakdowns and fault find in a remote / autonomous environment.
