Job Description
Murrumbidgee Local Health District are looking for an Oral Health Therapist who holds a passion for preventative dentistry takes a patient centred approach to their work.
n As the OHT you will get the chance to travel within the district providing outreach services such as Primary School Mobile Dental Service, Aged Care and Multicultural Dental Services.
n As the OHT, you will be responsible for:
n
n
Providing evidence based clinical care to patients, to result in quality care and a contemporary approach to dental procedures and patient care.
n
Delivering oral health promotion and preventative programs
n
Utilising clinical tools, equipment and applications
n
Maintaining accurate and appropriate clinical records, including paper based and electronic records
n




Communicating with patients/carers ensuring consistent care and maximised health outcomes
n
n

Sound clinical and diagnostic skills
n
Understanding of and commitment to a
preventative/population
health approach to patient care.
n
Evidence of continued career development in evidence-based dentistry.
n
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals.
n
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the team.
n
Current Class C driver's license with ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
n
