Casual Medical Receptionist for Neurosurgical Practice
We are a busy, well established specialist medical practice providing high quality patient care in a professional and supportive environment.
We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our neurosurgical practice in Newcastle working up to 4 days per week (Mon-Thur).
We seek someone who enjoys patient interaction, has robust attention to detail, is professional and reliable.
Required skills and qualities:
Specialist medical reception experience or similar
Attention to detail and valuable computer skills
Experience with Genie Solutions or similar medical practice software
A friendly and skilled manner when engaging with patients and other medical professionals




Ability to prioritise and multi-task
Willingness to learn and be part of a small team
Australian permanent residency is required for this position
Duties:
Day to day operations of the practice including answering phone calls and emails
Scheduling patient appointments and operations
Greeting patients in a friendly manner
Managing referrals and patient records
Patient invoicing including Medicare, Veterans' Affairs, Workers Comp and Third Party
Supporting our team in delivering high quality care
