Job Description
We are an Australian designer and manufacturer of commercial furniture and workstation systems. We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to run day-to-day production activity in our workshop, operating CNC and woodworking machinery while leading quality, output and continuous improvement across the production process.

Key responsibilities
n

Set up, operate and monitor CNC cutting and machining equipment to manufacture furniture and workstation components
n
Read production drawings, work orders and specifications to determine machining and assembly requirements
n
Cut, shape, trim, drill and finish timber, MDF, laminate and composite components using woodworking machinery and hand tools
n
Assemble furniture, workstations, screens and related products to design specification and quality standards
n
Manage the assembly of die cast aluminium and mild steel table systems
n
Inspect machined and assembled components for dimensional accuracy, finish quality and compliance with production requirements
n
Manage parts requisitions to ensure on-time receipt for production orders
n
Carry out routine maintenance, calibration and cleaning of CNC machines,



woodworking equipment and production tools
n
Manage quality throughout the entire production process and ensure production targets are met
n
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and the protected operation of machinery
n

About you
n
n
Demonstrated experience operating CNC cutting and machining equipment in a furniture, joinery or timber manufacturing workplace
n
Confident reading and interpreting production drawings, work orders and technical specifications
n
Practical experience with timber, MDF, laminate and composite materials, and with metal componentry such as die cast aluminium and mild steel
n
Experience leading or coordinating production staff and meeting production targets
n
Robust quality focus and attention to dimensional accuracy and finish
n
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety obligations in a manufacturing setting
n
Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines with limited supervision
n
