As a Registered Paramedic/Registered Nurse, you'll support people in your community by providing safe, professional non‑emergency patient transport-helping patients move comfortably between home, hospitals, and specialist appointments.

Since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) has delivered vital aeromedical, emergency and primary health care across Australia. Through our Patient Transport Service, we provide non‑emergency patient transport in Victoria and New South Wales, supporting patients with safe, compassionate care as they travel between home, hospitals and specialist clinics-on the ground and in the air.

About the role

Flying Doctor Patient Transport is seeking motivated and caring Registered Paramedics/Registered Nurses to join our Wagga Wagga team. This full-time role offers flexibility, structured training, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive environment-without the pressures of emergency response work.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Perform patient assessment and clinical interventions during road transport
- Deliver safe,



compassionate care aligned with RFDS clinical guidelines and NEPT regulations
- Monitor patients and evaluate responses to treatment en‑route
- Work collaboratively with a partner clinician in a team‑based model

Qualifications and experience required:

- AHPRA Registration in Paramedicine or Nursing
- NEPT experience is a plus, but not essential
- Hold a full driver's licence, be confident driving in both metropolitan and regional conditions, and have versatile availability to work shifts across seven days when required
- 1:1 staff to patient ratioWork within a clearly defined scope of practice
- Lower‑acuity, less stressful environment than ED or ward‑based roles
- Salary packaging, penalties, allowances and EAP support

- Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
