About the Role

Reporting to the Building & Projects Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering building maintenance, compliance activities, minor refurbishment projects and asset management initiatives across TLC Healthcare sites. You will work closely with site teams, contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure facilities remain compliant, safe and operational at all times.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate building maintenance, repairs and compliance-related works across multiple sites
- Monitor and maintain essential building services, safety systems and equipment
- Ensure sites comply with relevant building codes, Australian Standards and legislative requirements
- Coordinate contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of works
- Assist with minor capital works, refurbishments and construction projects
- Review plans, specifications and project documentation
- Conduct site inspections, audits and asset condition assessments
- Obtain and assess contractor quotations to achieve cost-effective outcomes
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders




- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings
- Support environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives across the organisation
- Promote workplace safety and support TLC’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Carpentry or Joinery or a related discipline is highly desirable
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in building maintenance services.
- Experience in commercial construction, healthcare, aged care, medical centres, childcare facilities or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, building compliance and safety requirements
- Ability to interpret structural, civil, electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings
- Experience coordinating contractors and managing minor works or building projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and building/project management software
- A positive, hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience within aged care, healthcare or medical facilities.
- Experience working on projects valued from $25K to $40M.
- Experience with Aconex, TeamBinder or similar project management software.
- Test and Tag qualifications.
- Carpentry, Electrical or Plumbing trade background
- Ability to read and interpret structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural drawings
