Job Description

Furphy Engineering is a long-established Australian manufacturing business specializing in stainless steel tanks, vessels, fabrication, and galvanizing services. They are seeking an experienced Purchasing / Procurement Officer to join their Operations team in Shepparton VIC. Key Responsibilities:

- Raise and manage purchase orders to support production requirements
- Support supply chain logistics
- Maintain accurate document control
- Identify discrepancies and elevate or resolve issues
- Support procurement activities and inbound supply logistics
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery outcomes
- Assist with inventory control, stock takes, and cost tracking
- Support contract administration and procurement documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards

Skills & Experience: Essential:





- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Experience using ERP and purchasing systems
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and market research skills
- Understanding of quality standards and incoming goods inspection

Desirable:

- Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments
- Knowledge of international procurement and freight logistics
- Understanding of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management or related discipline

Salary range is $85,000 - $100,000pa commensurate with experience. Full time Position available. Application opens on 28th of August 2026 and closes on 28th of September 2026.
