Eastern Goldfields College is seeking an innovative, strategic and future-focused educational leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Deputy Principal – Pathways.

The Role

The Deputy Principal – Pathways provides strategic and operational leadership to improve student achievement, progress, engagement, retention and successful post‑school transitions.

This role will lead the development of academic, vocational and additional pathways while strengthening partnerships with families, industry, training providers, tertiary institutions, Aboriginal organisations and community agencies.

A focus of the role will be supporting the College's Big Picture Learning Academy implementation.



The successful applicant will work collaboratively with staff, students, families and community partners to build understanding, confidence and commitment to personalised learning approaches that place student success at the centre of decision‑making.

Working closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership team, the successful applicant will ensure strong connections between student achievement and progress, positive relationships, wellbeing and high‑quality teaching and learning.

Experience in timetabling, student data systems and data literacy will be an asset, with the ability to lead the strategic use of data across the College to inform whole‑school planning, monitor student achievement and progress, and support teachers to engage confidently with data to improve learning outcomes.

Eligibility

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
