Due to continued growth and success in securing new projects, Zafa Contracting is expanding our surfacing team. We’re looking for experienced Asphalt Crew Members to join our operations based out of Elimbah.

These positions are ideal for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, teamwork, and maintaining a strong focus on safety. Pay rates will be based on experience and skill level.

Own transport is required to travel to and from the depot.

Primary Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, skid steers, rollers,



and pavers to apply asphalt according to project specifications.

- Use various hand tools (rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows) and assist the crew with general asphalt laying duties.

- Maintain explicit communication with the paver operator, truck drivers, and crew members to ensure smooth workflow and job quality.

Essential Skills & Requirements

- Minimum 3 year of asphalt experience (preferred).

- Certificate III in Civil Construction (desirable but not essential).

- Current driver’s licence (required).

- Construction Induction White Card.

- Familiarity with asphalt installation processes and equipment (rollers, pavers, etc.).

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
