We'relookingforanexperiencedLiDARprofessionaltostepintoaSeniorTechnicalLeadrolewithourLiDARProductionteaminAdelaide. Inthishands-onleadershiprole,you'lloverseepre-processingandpost-processingacrossthefullLiDARproductionworkflow,ensuringalldeliverablesmeetorexceedAustralianstandardspecifications,includingICSMandASPRSaccuracyclassifications.

Astheteam'stechnicalauthority,you'llsettechnicaldirection,establishbest-practicemethods,resolvecomplexdataqualityissuesandmentorjuniorteammembers. You'llalsoworkcloselywithprojectmanagementandclient-facingteamstokeeptechnicaloutcomesalignedwithprojectspecifications,timelinesandclientexpectations.

KeyResponsibilities

- Providehands-ontechnicalleadershipofLiDARproduction,includingtrainingandmentoringteammemberstobuildcapabilityacrosstheAdelaideteam.

- OverseeandundertakeLiDARpre-processing:GNSSprocessingandpositionalaccuracyassessment,rawextractionandvalidation,stripalignmentandaccuracyassessment,anddatatiling.
n
- OverseeandundertakeLiDARpost-processing:pointcloudclassification,classificationQAandmarkup,generationofderivedproducts(e.g.DEM,DSM)withassociatedQA,datamanagementandprojectreporting.

- ReviewandapproveQA/QCresultsanddeliverables,providingcorrectiveguidancewherecalibration,classificationorderivedproductsfallshortofspecification.

- Ensureoutputsmeetproject-specificandnationalLiDARspecificationsbeforedelivery,escalatingnon-conformanceswherestandardscannotbemet.
n
- DevelopandmaintainSOPsandworkinstructionsforpre-processingandpost-processingworkflows.
n
- Drivecontinuousimprovementofproductionworkflows,toolsandmethodologies.
n
- ActasLiDARtechnicalleadfortheDataEngineeringTeamonsoftwaredevelopmentprojects.

- Advisesales,flightoperationsandprojectmanagementonproductioncapability,capacity,feasibilityandtimelinesacrossallthreeproductlines.

- Providetechnicalinputintoproposalsandtenders,includingscopingproductioneffort,capturerequirementsanddeliverytimelinestosupportaccuratepricing.

- Soundunderstandingofaerialsurveyoperationsanddatacapture(fixed-wingand/orrotary),includingsensorcalibration.

- WorkingknowledgeofICSMGuidelinesforDigitalElevationDataandASPRSaccuracystandards.

- Proficiencywithindustry-standardsoftwaresuchasTerraSolid/TerraScan,LAStoolsandPOSPac.
