Lead one of Perth’s most distinctive hospitality venues

This isn’t your standard pub management role. Australian Venue Co. is looking for an experienced Venue Manager to take the lead at Galway Hooker, an authentic Irish pub in the heart of Scarborough’s vibrant beachfront precinct. Built in Ireland, transported to Western Australia and reassembled in Scarborough, Galway Hooker brings the warmth, energy and character of a traditional Irish pub to one of Perth’s busiest coastal destinations. Known for live music, big sporting moments, perfectly poured pints and a lively late-night atmosphere, this is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a venue with a robust identity, loyal following and plenty of personality.

The opportunity As Venue Manager, you’ll have full ownership of the venue’s people, performance and guest experience. You’ll lead an established team, drive the commercial direction of the business and continue building Galway Hooker’s reputation as one of Scarborough’s standout hospitality destinations.

Responsibilities

- Leading, coaching and developing the venue management and front-of-house teams
- Taking ownership of the venue’s P&L;, labour, stock, budgets and overall performance
- Driving revenue through entertainment, sporting events, local marketing and community engagement
- Building a strong, accountable and high-performing team culture
- Maintaining exceptional standards across service, food, beverage, compliance and presentation
- Creating memorable experiences that keep guests coming back

About you





You’re an experienced hospitality leader who knows how to balance people, performance and guest experience. You’ll bring:

- Proven Venue Manager or senior leadership experience within a busy pub, bar or entertainment venue
- Strong commercial capability across P&L;, labour, stock management and venue KPIs
- Experience leading, developing and retaining high-performing teams
- A confident, visible and hands-on leadership style
- An understanding of beverage-led operations, live entertainment and late-night trade
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Current WA RSA and Approved Manager accreditation, or the ability to obtain them
