Belbaker Bus Charter is a growing passenger transport business operating a diverse fleet of coaches, buses and patient transport vehicles across South East Queensland.

We are looking for an experienced and practical Auto Electrician / Fleet Technician to join our team and play an important role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and operational.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a variety of vehicles and wants a role that combines auto electrical work with hands‑on automotive maintenance and fault finding.

About the Role

Located in Zillmere, you will be working as part of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the electrical and general mechanical requirements of our vehicle fleet.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Diagnosing and repairing auto electrical faults across buses, coaches and passenger vehicles
- Electrical fault finding, repairs and installation of electrical components and accessories
- Battery, starting and charging system diagnosis and maintenance
- Lighting, wiring, switches, sensors and other electrical systems
- Supporting vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance programs
- Carrying out basic mechanical and automotive repairs and maintenance
- Identifying vehicle faults and assisting with troubleshooting and repairs
- Completing pre‑start and maintenance‑related repairs as required
- Assisting with fleet inspections and maintaining vehicle reliability
- Working with external repairers and suppliers where specialist repairs are required
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant standards




- Responding to operational requirements and breakdowns when required

About You

We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and enjoys solving problems.

You will ideally have:

- Relevant Auto Electrical qualification and demonstrated industry experience
- Experience working on heavy vehicles, buses, coaches, trucks or commercial vehicles is highly desirable
- Good diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Basic mechanical and automotive repair skills
- The ability to work independently and prioritise maintenance requirements
- A strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A current driver's licence
- A positive, hands‑on approach to getting the job done
- Experience with passenger transport, heavy vehicles, fleet maintenance or diesel vehicles will be highly regarded.
