Afternoon Freight sorter / Dockhands - Ongoing Opportunity

Immediate Start | Ongoing Work | Afternoon Shift | $39.20 per hour

Jobwire is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Freight Sorters / Warehouse Labourers to join a busy transport and logistics operation based in Lidcombe, relocating to Kemps Creek Early Next year, Feb / March 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for ongoing Monday-to-Friday work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The role involves sorting freight, loading and unloading, and moving freight throughout the depot.

The Role

n

n
- Afternoon shift commencing at approximately 4:00pm
n
- Finish around 8:00pm-8:30pm
n
- Monday to Friday
n
- $39.20 per hour
n
- Ongoing work with the opportunity for additional hours
n
- Immediate start available
n

Duties & Responsibilities

n

n
- Sort freight on and off conveyor belts and onto pallets
n
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight
n
- Move freight, pallets and skids throughout the depot
n
- Scan and label freight accurately
n
- Sort freight safely and correctly
n
- Handle cartons, pallets, skids and oversized items
n
- Safely move awkward, bulky and top-heavy freight, including cabinets
n
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
n
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
n

About You

- Reliable, punctual and committed to ongoing work
n
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
n
- Experienced in handling freight, pallets, skids and oversized items
n
- Safety-conscious with a solid work ethic
n
- Able to work well as part of a team
n
- Available for ongoing afternoon shifts
n
- Previous freight, transport or warehouse experience is highly regarded, but not essential for the right person
n
- Must have your own reliable car and transport – this is essential
n

Relocation
