Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 NDT Technician to join our inspection and testing team. The successful candidate will perform non-destructive testing in accordance with applicable standards, client specifications, approved procedures and safety requirements.

Applicants with certification and practical experience in one or more of the following methods are encouraged to apply:

- Penetrant Testing PT
n
- Magnetic Particle Testing MT
n
- Radiographic Testing RT
n
- Ultrasonic Testing UT
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform NDT examinations in accordance with approved procedures and applicable standards.
n
- Set up, calibrate and operate NDT equipment.
n
- Interpret and evaluate test results accurately within the scope of Level 2 certification.
n
- Identify, record and report defects or relevant indications.
n
- Complete inspection reports, worksheets and other technical documentation.
n
- Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated and fit for purpose.
n
- Review drawings, specifications, inspection plans and client requirements.
n
- Liaise professionally with clients, engineers, supervisors and inspection personnel.
n
- Comply with company, site and radiation safety requirements.
n

Certification Requirements

n

ISO 9712 Level 2 certification is strongly preferred. Applicants holding relevant ASNT certification may also be considered based on the certification scheme, methods held, certification scope,



practical experience and demonstrated technical capability.

Current Level 2 certification is required in one or more of the following methods:

n

n
- Strong knowledge of NDT principles, test techniques, equipment and defect interpretation.
n
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow written procedures.
n
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Commitment to quality, safety and professional standards.
n
- Willingness to travel and work on site, including shifts, offshore work or work at height where required.
n

Desirable Qualifications

n

n
- ISO 9712 Level 2 certification across multiple NDT methods.
n
- Current Queensland Radiation Use Licence where radiographic testing duties are required.
n
- Current Australian driver's licence.
n
