Role Description:

This is a full-time Senior Speech Pathologist role in a hybrid work arrangement, based in Traralgon or Pakenham, VIC. The Senior Speech Pathologist will provide comprehensive assessment and intervention for clients with communication, sensory, cognitive, and swallowing needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting standardized and informal assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and preparing clear, timely documentation and reports. The role involves collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members to support functional communication outcomes, as well as providing clinical guidance and mentoring to less experienced clinicians. The Senior Speech Pathologist will also contribute to positive behaviour support management, team leadership,



service development, participate in case reviews, Assistive Tehcnology prescription, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in speech pathology, disbaility and aged care.

Qualifications:

- Solid clinical skills in Speech Therapy, including assessment and intervention across the lifespan.
- Experience working with a range of Speech and Communication Disorders, with advanced skills in Assistive Technology, and a focus on functional outcomes.
- Expertise in managing Language Disorders, including expressive and receptive language challenges.
- Competence in assessing and treating Dysphagia, including safe swallowing management and mealtime support.
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in the NDIS or disability sector and understanding of person-centered practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, with strong planning skills, time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Current driver’s license and ability to travel to provide outreach for client visits, as required.
