Position Profile:

We are currently seeking to appoint a Admissions / Communications Officer. To register and prepare documentation for patients attending the Emergency Department and presenting for admission. To control and maintain an efficient telecommunications system for the hospital.

Suitability Criteria

- Demonstrated accuracy in electronic data entry, record management and clerical skills.
- Ability to understand the need for and maintain confidentiality.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills in relation to customer service.
- Ability to collaboratively work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to undertake shift work as part of a 24 hour/7 day a week service.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within WACHS and/or the wider WA public sector. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
