CivilPlus Constructions is a locally owned and operated Civil & Marine Infrastructure company based in Townsville. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Site / Project Engineer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer looking to further develop their career while working across a diverse range of civil and marine infrastructure projects throughout North Queensland.

The level of appointment will be considered based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.

About the Role

n

As a Site / Project Engineer, you will work closely with our Project Managers, Supervisors, site teams, subcontractors and clients to support the successful delivery of our projects.

n

The role will be involved across project planning, construction delivery, quality, safety, environmental compliance, contract administration and project reporting.

n

Depending on your level of experience, you will either support or take greater responsibility for the preparation and implementation of project plans, construction methodologies and project management systems.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects.
n
- Prepare and maintain project plans, construction plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), work methods and project documentation.
n
- Ensure contractual, legislative, quality, safety and environmental requirements are identified and implemented.
n




- Assist with the coordination of site activities, resources, subcontractors and suppliers.
n
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts and relevant Australian and industry standards.
n
- Establish and maintain accurate project records, documentation and reporting.
n
- Assist with contract administration and project commercial requirements.
n
- Attend project meetings and contribute to project reporting.
n
- Monitor project performance through inspections, audits and reviews.
n
- Assist with procurement of materials, permits, licences and other project requirements.
n
- Work closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to establish effective construction procedures and work methods.
n
- Maintain effective communication between clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
n
- Identify project risks, issues and opportunities and assist with implementing appropriate corrective actions.
n
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of CivilPlus' Project and Business Management Systems.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- A Degree or Diploma in Engineering,



or relevant equivalent qualification.
n
- Previous experience within the civil/marine construction industry.
n
- Knowledge and understanding of civil construction specifications, plans and Australian Standards.
n
- Experience with project planning and construction documentation.
n
- An understanding of Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements within civil construction.
n
- Contract administration experience, particularly for candidates seeking appointment at Project Engineer level.
n
- Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and project documentation systems.
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a project team.
n
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities.
n
- Current Driver Licence.
n
