Job Description
We are a well-established and growing allied health practice seeking an experienced and organised receiptionst to join our supportive multidisciplinary team on a permanent full-time basis.
n
Our team consists of 4 Dietitians and a Credentialed Diabetes Educator working across multiple locations in Southern Sydney. This role will primarily be based in our Sutherland office within a busy medical specialist environment. We support a diverse client base ranging from pregnant mothers to elderly patients and work closely with a strong referral network including GPs, specialists, surgeons, and allied health professionals.

This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a quick-paced healthcare setting, enjoys supporting both patients and clinicians, and takes pride in creating efficient systems and smooth day-to-day operations.

About the Role
n
As the central support person within the practice, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of the clinic while delivering a high standard of patient care and administrative support.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Welcoming patients and providing a professional and compassionate first point of contact
n
- Managing phone calls, emails, appointments, and clinician schedules across multiple locations
n
- Coordinating complex diaries and supporting daily clinic operations
n
- Processing billings and claims including Medicare, DVA, NDIS, WorkCover, and private health insurance
n
- Managing accounts administration, reporting, and outstanding payments
n
- Maintaining accurate patient records and database systems with strict confidentiality
n
- Supporting clinicians with administrative and operational tasks
n
- Updating website content and clinic resources where required
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
- Previous experience in medical reception, practice management, or healthcare administration
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
n
- Ability to work independently, whilst remaining a key member of a wider team
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Professional, friendly, and empathetic approach to patient care
n
- High attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Experience with Medicare, NDIS, DVA, and private billing processes
n
- Confidence working independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
n
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
n
- Experience using practice management software (Halaxy experience highly regarded)
n
- Experience with Squarespace, Canva, social media, or website updates is advantageous
n
