Location: Sydney, NSW (Hybrid) | Contract: Until December 2026We are seeking an experienced AI Governance & Assurance Lead to drive AI governance, risk, assurance, audit remediation, and compliance activities. This role will be responsible for ensuring effective governance processes, supporting AI initiatives, and enhancing governance frameworks to enable the safe and scalable adoption of AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate AI governance activities, assessments, assurance processes, and compliance obligations.
- Maintain governance registers, track actions, and escalate high-risk or overdue matters.
- Progress audit, risk, and policy remediation activities to closure.
- Prepare governance reports, briefing papers, and executive-level updates.
- Coordinate governance forums and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Support the development and enhancement of AI governance frameworks, controls, and processes.
- Contribute to governance initiatives related to AI platforms, Copilot, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Maintain records of governance decisions, risks, actions, and outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in AI Governance, Risk, Assurance, Compliance, or Technology Governance.




- Strong understanding of AI governance frameworks, risk management, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience coordinating governance reviews, audits, assessments, and assurance activities.
- Knowledge of AI lifecycle governance, decision-making frameworks, and escalation processes.
- Experience managing governance registers, risk tracking, and remediation activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

- Experience supporting governance for AI, Generative AI, Copilot, or AI Agent initiatives.
- Background in audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, or assurance functions.
