The successful applicant will have digital strategy oversight over multiple sites, covering approximately 25% of the Victorian geography. The opportunity

Bendigo Health is seeking expressions of interest from experienced digital and technology executives for the pivotal role of Chief Digital Services Officer (CDSO).

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and operating as a member of the Executive Team, the CDSO will hold the highest position in technology for the health service and provide strategic leadership of Bendigo Health's digital environment while playing a significant role in the broader digital services landscape across the Loddon Mallee region.

This is an opportunity to influence how technology, data and digital transformation enable the delivery of safe, high-quality and connected healthcare across one of Victoria's major regional health networks.

The CDSO will:

- Develop and deliver a contemporary digital strategy aligned with Bendigo Health's clinical, operational and business priorities.
- Provide strategic digital and technology advice to the CEO and Executive Team.
- Lead digital transformation and major technology investment programs.
- Strengthen cyber security, data governance, privacy and digital resilience.
- Oversee digital services, systems, infrastructure and associated resources.




- Work closely with the Regional CIO and member health services to develop and implement the region's evolving ICT service delivery model.
- Build strong partnerships with the Department of Health, suppliers, external agencies and regional health service leaders.
- Lead, develop and inspire a highly skilled digital services workforce.

About you

We are seeking an accomplished technology executive with significant experience in a healthcare or large, complex service environment.

You will ideally bring:

- Chief Information Officer, Chief Digital Officer or equivalent experience, preferably reporting to a CEO and/or Board.
- A strong understanding of healthcare digital environments and shared services.
- Proven leadership of major digital transformation, ICT programs and organisational change.
- Experience across cyber security, data, governance, technology infrastructure and digital investment.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including management of complex technology portfolios.
- The ability to influence at Board, executive, clinical and operational levels.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively across organisational boundaries.
- An innovative, strategic and outcomes-focused mindset.
