A leadership role in a modern, tech enabled Wills and Estates practice, partnering with executive leadership to shape strategy, growth, and client service across estate planning, probate, and administration.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow the Wills and Estates practice within a pod based operating model.
- Own practice strategy, revenue forecasting and team effectiveness.
- Plan team structure 12-18 months ahead based on commercial indicators.
- Set high standards for legal quality, supervision, and client service.
- Mentor junior lawyers and support staff with structured feedback and coaching.
- Identify commercial opportunities and design new business unit launches within the operating model.
- Collaborate on drafting or improving estate planning products and services to embed legal judgment in delivery.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years experience in estate planning and probate law with complex matters.
- Current Australian practicing certificate and readiness to obtain principal authorisation in NSW.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and knowledge of revenue metrics, forecasting and conversion rates in legal practice.
- Commercial practice management or revenue responsibility experience; tech enabled or scaled legal service delivery experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of legal risk management and professional obligations; familiar with AI assisted workflows and practice management tools.
- Based on the Australian east coast and willing to travel to a Sydney office monthly.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: 150000-250000 AUD annually. Visa sponsorship not available.
