YTB Plumbing is looking for a Civil Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team on the Gold Coast. You'll build a specialised trade career working on water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure. No previous plumbing or civil experience is required. We're prepared to train the right person. This is a specialised side of the plumbing trade that many apprentices never get the opportunity to experience, working on civil infrastructure projects rather than residential plumbing.

Able to work effectively as part of a crew

Willing to work reasonable overtime when required

Motivated to develop your skills and qualifications

Construction White Card and driver's licence, or prepared to obtain required licences/tickets before commencing

About us YTB Plumbing is a Gold Coast civil plumbing contractor specialising in the construction, connection and upgrade of water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure. We work across the Gold Coast delivering civil infrastructure projects for councils, water authorities, major builders and developers. Our work can be challenging, technical and varied. You'll be learning from experienced civil plumbers while working around excavators, machinery, underground services and live infrastructure.

This isn't residential plumbing.

You’ll be learning a specialised side of the plumbing trade that many apprentices never get the opportunity to experience.

What You’ll Be Doing As your skills and experience develop, you'll get hands-on experience across:

Water mains and water connections

Sewer mains and sewer connections

Live water infrastructure

Pipe laying and installation

Stormwater and drainage

Pits and manholes

Working around existing underground services

Reading plans, levels and specifications

Working alongside excavators and other plant

Council and civil infrastructure projects

Site safety and civil construction procedures

Completing work safely and to required standards

You’ll work alongside experienced civil plumbers and operators who will teach you the skills needed to develop into a highly capable civil plumber.

Who We’re Looking For Experience isn't essential. The right attitude is.

You don't need to have already started a plumbing apprenticeship or worked in civil construction.

We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to learn a trade and build a career in civil plumbing.

You’ll need to be:

Already started a plumbing apprenticeship? Absolutely apply.

Have experience in civil construction, drainage, pipe laying, earthmovingplumbing or another trade? That's a bonus - but it isn't essential.

You won't just finish with a plumbing qualification. The aim is to develop you into a plumber with a specialised civil infrastructure skillset and give you the experience to build a long-term career in the industry.
