Are you a Junior Category Manager or looking to Step up from a assistant caterory manager role?

The Company An opportunity to join a fast-growing Australian eCommerce business with a strong focus on delivering in-demand products at competitive prices. The business is seeking a commercially minded Junior Category Manager to take ownership of assigned product categories and drive range, sales and profitability.

The Role Working closely with Purchasing, Marketing, Logistics and Finance, you will take ownership of assigned categories across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage and develop assigned product categories and ranges

Identify new product and range expansion opportunities

Source products and manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers

Negotiate pricing, trading terms and supplier agreements

Monitor sales, margins, inventory levels and overall category performance

Conduct competitor, pricing and market analysis

Manage open orders, stock availability and product demand

Support pricing, promotional activity and product launches





Work closely with Marketing to optimise product listings and promotions

Analyse costs including freight, warehousing and other factors impacting profitability

Your Background

Experience within Category Management, Buying, Merchandise or a similar commercial role

Experience within eCommerce, Retail or FMCG environments highly regarded

Exposure to managing or supporting a product range/category

Robust commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing, margins and profitability

Confident working with suppliers and negotiating commercial outcomes

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables

Comfortable working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
