Job Description Employer: Black Sheep Garage Suburb: Fortitude Valley Pay: Up to AU$79,423/year Job description: We are looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic/Motor Mechanic or Technician servicing light vehicles to work Full-Time 8:30 to 17:30 Mon-Fri We're a family owned workshop of car enthusiasts that services and repairs all makes and models, we pride ourselves on the work we do, and we're looking for a like-minded person to join our team.

Detecting, diagnosing and fix mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts, utilizing a variety of tools for troubleshooting

Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts

Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed

Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations





Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired

Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance

Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers

Test drive and ensure that the issue has been fixed

-Write a report after every job

Qualifications: At least an AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

Experience: At least 1 year of prior experience in the industry is a must

Current driver's license

Skills

Be knowledgeable about engines and transmissions

You must be able to diagnose issues and recommend repairs independently

Be organized and punctual
