JUST Bellbowrie is seeking an experienced, hands-on Duty Manager to join our team in a full-time role.

This is an operational leadership position for someone who is confident supervising staff, maintaining high safety standards and ensuring the facility runs smoothly. Previous experience in an aquatic, leisure or recreation facility is required.

Duty Manager – Full Time JUST Bellbowrie Pool & Gym | Bellbowrie, Brisbane About the role As Duty Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the facility while providing visible leadership and support to our lifeguards, swim teachers, café staff and customer service team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising daily facility operations and staff

Ensuring patron safety and compliance with aquatic industry standards

Responding confidently to incidents, emergencies and customer concerns

Monitoring pool water quality and completing operational checks

Coordinating staff breaks, shift coverage and daily priorities

Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and customer service

Completing opening, closing, cash-handling and end-of-day procedures

Supporting staff training, performance and development

Assisting with programs, memberships and community initiatives

Working collaboratively with the Facility Manager and leadership team

About you You will be a capable and approachable leader who takes ownership, communicates clearly and remains calm under pressure.

To be considered,



you must have:

Previous experience in a Duty Manager, senior lifeguard or similar aquatic leadership role

Strong knowledge of aquatic facility operations and safety requirements

Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting staff

Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

Availability to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings and weekends

Current Pool Lifeguard qualification

Current First Aid and CPR certificates

Current Blue Card

Current Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety

Pool Plant Operator qualification or relevant experience

Experience in learn-to-swim operations, gym facilities, memberships or café operations will be highly regarded.
