Capitano is looking for an Restaurant Supervisor to join our management team.

Capitano is a fast-paced environment, with a focus on positive produce and Italian-ish food. We work with small farms and local suppliers. We are a long-standing, neighbourhood restaurant with a hard working and friendly team.

The roleAs Restaurant Supervisor, you will:

Lead and supervise restaurant services

Help coordinate the FOH team throughout the shift

Set the standard for warm, professional and efficient service

Support the training and development of junior staff

Work closely with the kitchen and management team during service

Help manage reservations, guest requests and larger bookings

Maintain presentation, cleanliness and service standards

Assist with opening and closing procedures

Help resolve guest issues calmly and professionally

Develop your knowledge of our food, wine and beverage offering

Step up and take responsibility for the floor when required

About you

Have solid experience working in quality restaurants

Have previous supervisory experience, or are a strong senior waiter ready to take the next step





Are confident running a busy restaurant floor

Communicate clearly and enjoy leading people

Have a genuine interest in food, wine and hospitality

Can remain organised and composed during a busy service

Understand that great service can be professional without being formal

Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team

Take pride in the small details that make a restaurant feel good

Wine knowledge is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is just as important.
